For the 25th anniversary year, the president has challenged the guild - she feels we should have a new guild quilt that will be displayed at every meeting, by hanging it in front of the "head" table. The challenge this year is to design the new display quilt. The attached document provides the guidelines. Designs must be submitted at the November meeting. The guild will vote on the designs at the January meeting. NOTE: special prize for the winner! (We'll all get to help make the quilt later.)
The guild has received a letter, asking anyone who wants to, to complete a questionnaire, in preparation for an author who is putting together a book on quilting. Excerpt from letter:

"As a professional writer and quilting enthusiast, I’ve been bitten by a “need bug:” a need to hear the voices of my fellow quilters no matter the distance that separates us, a need to introduce us to each other on a personal level, and a need to share my own insights and experiences. Individually, we quilters are as unique as snowflakes, but together, our passion for quilting makes us all very much alike."
After 11 years of service and raising over $1.8 for Support for People Living with Cancer, the Board of Directors of The Quilt Project has made the difficult decision to discontinue the project. CLICK HERE for the full details.
